Today the Bedford County School Board voted for the ban of “attire that has offensive, profane, vulgar, discriminatory, or racially/culturally divisive. This would include Confederate flags, swastikas, KKK references, or any other images that might reasonably be considered hurtful or intimidating to others.” This statement does not include BLM and other important civil rights movement imagery. The board passed this ban 4 to 2, with one absence of a member being included in the two no’s. This is a big win and step towards a brighter future!
