Thank you again for supporting our cause. As of now we have 670 signees/supporters. We are continuing to meet with members of the board and others for a resolution.

Our plight goes beyond just changing and solidifying the mascot/emblem and colors. We are trying to make sure that the history behind this is not overlooked or buried. There were many during the time the decision was made to combine the schools who sacrificed and endured a lot in the process, including those of us who moved to a new school for a smooth transition.

Please continue to share this petition on all your social media platforms and speak with your family members and friends to get them engaged.

As you know the last board meeting was cancelled due to dangerous weather. The next board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday April 11th at 5:00 pm. Please show your support by showing up or participating through any of the following ways.

Request for PUBLIC COMMENTS PARTICIPATION

Request for the first Public Comments will be accepted between 5pm–5:30pm.

Request for the second Public Comments will be accepted between 7–7:30pm.*

Phone in: Send an email with your NAME, PHONE#, and TOPIC to robyn.cushingberry@beaufort.k12.sc.us.

You will receive a phone call during Public Comments where you will be able to speak and address the Board for a maximum of three (3) minutes.

In person: You may address the Board for a maximum of three (3) minutes. Each speaker must fill out a Public Comment Card. Please see the Board Clerk for a card. 

*The second Public Comments will take place prior to adjournment no later than 9:00pm. The second forum will be limited to 15 minutes.
