Be the Pitchfork in the Road- Stop the Trump/Musk Coup

President Trump and DOGE are effectively orchestrating a regime change https://archive.ph/4XR9r#selection-1051.0-1053.201 by destroying a democracy that has lasted 250 years and replacing it with one which is autocratic/fascist in nature.  We are on the brink of the worst Constitutional Crisis since the Civil War.  And, they started it with their "Fork in the Road" ultimatums to federal workers & by implementing Project 2025.  DOGE (an illegally appointed entity) is gutting federal agencies & firing civil servants in a haphazard manner, without even trying to first understand the inner workings of their jobs. Proof that the firings are haphazard is evidenced by their action of firing employees in charge of nuclear stockpiles, only to belatedly have trouble contacting them for rehiring, when they learned of their crucial roles in nuclear defense.  The Pendelton Act (1883) was established to abolish civil servants getting jobs on the basis of patronage/politic spoils, instead, basing jobs on examinations & prizing political neutrality/loyalty to the constitution.  This 2nd Trump Administration wants to revert to a patronage system, based on goals (of Project 2025) of achieving a more Christian Nationalist based, right-wing Trump loyalist base.  Anne Applebaum (journalist with The Atlantic),an expert in fascism/authoritarianism, warns that  “if the assault on the civil service is not blocked, the heroes and the patriots will disappear. They will be fired, or denied access to the tools they need to work, or frightened by the smear campaigns.” Oligarchs have been given niche jobs to destroy departments from within & distribute the privatized spoils to each other, much like 21st century Robber Barons.

Elon Musk & Trump have given a “Fork in the Road” ultimatum to patriotic civil servants & to this nation… we have a duty to the constitution, in this 250th Anniversary Year of the Declaration of Independence signing, to start bringing our Pitchforks in the Road, to stop this horrifying, runaway train propelling us to fascism.

Petition Proposal:

1-reinstate all federal employees immediately.

2-disband DOGE.  Streamlining of government agencies must be done in a non-chaotic manner.  For example, in the healthcare area, randomly axing benefits & surrendering control to Robber Barons is not useful, when there is an alternative like Medicare For All, which would actually save money by eliminating greedy private insurer profits.

3-initiate National Referendums, based on the success of state referendums in areas such as abortion, which would inject a form of direct democracy to determine issues such as abortion, gun control, the electoral college, reversing Citizens United, & more… we have suffered too many decades of legislative gridlock & the current, sycophantic GOP party, has sold out their Oaths to the Constitution in favor of loyalty to Trump.

4-support the “Impeach Trump Again” petition & articles of impeachment authored by Congressman Al Green.  Even though it would never pass through the house, with the current GOP majority, there may come a time when even red state reps will feel the pressure from their constituents, the country, the world. 5-The Shut-it-all-down scenario.  This will probably have to occur at the level of SCOTUS intervention. If the Administration ignores their rulings or somehow rule in favor of Trump’s kingdom, it will be necessary to initiate massive protests.  (see ACLU interview, The New Yorker, https://archive.ph/BKu45).

6-Support Ukraine./NATO/EU.  Condemn Russia & continue all sanctions & calls for reparations to Ukraine. Defense of Ukraine cannot be done on a transactional basis.  NATO, section 5, stipulates "if an attack occurs on one NATO member, all other members will consider it an attack on themselves. It does not say that a country will only be protected if they surrender their mineral rights or other resources to pay for that defense. The USA should not be in the extortion business.

7-Stop territorial imperatives.  Leave Panama, Canada, Greenland, Gaza alone.

8-Stop Project 2025.
