✍️ Contracts matter — more than you think.

One of the biggest causes of building disputes is not having a written contract… or having one that doesn’t clearly spell out the details. The good news? A solid written contract is also one of the simplest ways to protect your business and avoid costly issues down the track.

You must have a written contract:
➡️ For any residential building work over $3,300
➡️ For all agreements between parties (including subcontractors) for commercial building work

⚠️ Take the time to read the fine print — especially if someone else has supplied the contract and you’re not familiar with it.

Keep copies of emails, quotes, specs, and notes from discussions. These details can make all the difference if a dispute arises.
