The Courier Mail have reported on another consumer who has been left with a unfinished renovation by TILSON & SONS BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION PTY LTD.  While the QBCC continue to investigate multiple 'QBCC Notice of Offence' against TILSON & SONS the number of offences continue to climb and so do the claims to the Home Warranty Insurance.  The builder continues to provide further delays to have their homes finished.

BUT LET's BE REAL - This builder has only been exposed for these offences due to the media investigating the facts, cross referencing through their legal department and publishing their findings in the 'publics best interest'.   So the question remains, how is it that the QBCC can't do the same in a more effective, efficient and responsible manner.  The QBCC need better monitoring systems to protect consumers.

I ask the question; should the QBCC implement a penalty system favourable to the consumer if the builder continues to trade inappropriately while under a fleet of claims and complaints.
