Stray animals have a right to live. Unfortunately we do not see that in the smart city - Palava City, in Dombivili, Thane District. The hatred that people have towards strays has gone from bad to worst in this prime property developed by Lodha Group.

There is a ban on feeding stray dogs. Feeders are being harassed and there are attempts to relocate the strays. Even the pets and their owners are being harassed by residents. There have been attempts to run over stray dogs while they are asleep. Watchmen are instructed to beat the stray dogs that take shelter within the society premises.

Multiple attempts have been made to try and connect with the management, but every time these efforts were a failure as no one turns up from their side for discussions. 

In the meanwhile the feeders are making their efforts to continue to feed the strays, neuter and vaccinate them. One such event was organized yesterday and 180 stray dogs were vaccinated from areas such as Xperia Mall, Casa Bella Gold, Golf Links, Casa Bella, Casa Rio.

Boards are displayed across Casa Bella Gold prohibiting feeders and pet owners. P.A.W.S sent emails to the Management but they never even responded. We have decided to do a signature campaign to create awareness among people living in Palava City about the laws prevailing in the country.
