Community in and around Doddakalsandra have a lot of people having dogs as companions. Dogs require daily dose of walking to feel energised & active & release all pent up energy, in the spirit of co-existence and compassion towards all living creatures as endorsed by the respected Constitution of India and by the provisions of prevention of animal cruelty act, we request necessary permission to be provided to walk our dogs in Doddakalsandra lake as per recent High court guidelines as well -
1) We shall ensure dogs are always properly leashed 2) Walked by adults & poop cleaned up as well.

Walking the dogs in pavement or in residential layouts is difficult and dangerous due to increasing traffic and continuous maintenance/construction activities. Dogs as working animals require regular walks and exercise to ensure they don’t turn aggressive and it is also illegal as per constitution to deny them the exercise they require.Kindly requesting the removal of “Dogs not permitted” board from the lake entrance.

We must as a community strive to co-exist and be compassionate towards animals, this entire pandemic episode has thought us nothing but to be kind & compassionate towards fellow living creatures !!
