Many thanks for those who have signed up and left comments. At the moment the numbers are heading towards 6000. We are aiming to get to 10,000 before seeking publicity and starting to take action. The more we have behind us the more weight this petition will carry. Please help with another push if possible. Send links to others you know who might be interested in signing. Many thanks also for those who have donated money. I have heard from Change that fifty people have donated at least £5 each. This money does not come to me but is used to promote the petition through Change website.
I have read all of the comments left and it is heartwarming to see that so many people feel the same. We are all outraged by the BBC bias. I have identified a number of recurring reasons given for signing this petition.
To help with the campaign I have set up a survey of the 17 most commonly used reasons. I am seeking though the survey to identify which issues people feel strongest about. This will help us to shape arguments. The petition is quick and easy to complete. Then you just submit it.
