The BBC have today announced as part of government cost cutting measures that they are to close the BBC Food website.

Not only is this website a life-line for a lot of people, it's surely can't cost the estimated £15m a year to host the recipes. 

These recipes are already broadcast on the TV so have been paid for by the license fee and should stay permanently in the public domain.

We urge BBC to reverse this decision for a service that so many people rely upon.
