Government is cutting 2.15 lacs trees in Buxwaha Madhya Pradesh India for digging diamonds
The Issue
Madhya Pradesh India government has issued tender rights to mine diamonds from the Buxwaha area of Chhatarpur. To dig these mines, over 2 lakh trees will be cut, and rare plant and animal species of the Buxwaha forest will lose their home. Sign my petition to stop these diamond mines from being dug and save the Buxwaha forest along with saving millions of small animals, Birds getting shelters for generations.
The Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh India government has issued tender rights to Adity birla Group (Essel mining) to mine diamonds from the buxwaha area of Chhatarpur (M.P.). And the area issued by government survey is the largest diamond mine in India, earlier an australian company named Rio tinto was working in this area but due to some reasons they abandoned the project one of the most prominent reason was not getting environmental clearance secondly people living near the subjected area are fighting for their rights and not letting the company to work. Now giving the outlook of the region, the area comes under Bundelkhand region of M.P. and is prone to severe droughts. In order to dig up diamond mines the company is planning to clear out 2.15 lakhs trees. the forest encompasses rare plants and animal species, if the buxwaha forest is cut down it will not only affect the communities living around at unprecedented scale but also cutting of the trees will lower the groundwater level and will give rise to a devastated condition in the region and will destroy a fruitful bond between environment and humans. Please Support us, TO STOP BUXWAHA FOREST KILLING We people from Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh India are seeking for your support . #SAVEBUXWAHAFOREST
I request all the global environmental organisation so come together to save trees and animals of Buxwaha district in Madhya Pradesh India.
