Draya McCarty was one of six Black trans women found murdered in the last two weeks alone. In 2019 at least 23 transgender or gender non-conforming people were murdered simply for expressing themselves honestly and openly.

The vast majority of these killings were against Black women. We have to educate ourselves and others about the importance of intersectionality when talking about justice in this country. 

When we say Black Lives Matter, we mean All Black lives Matter. Violence against transgender people is an epidemic in this country. Sign the petition to call upon the Baton Rouge Police department as well as Louisiana state representatives to completely investigate the murder of Draya McCarty.
