Save the last 2 hectares of remnant vegetation in Cowes
The issue
We, the residents, ratepayers and visitors to Phillip Island are appalled at the decision to construct a new large competition sized gymnasium completely within the School/Community Sanctuary. This is the last know 2 hectares of remnant vegetation in Cowes which is the habitat of native & endangered wildlife. We urgently request the Minister for Education, James Merlino MP to hold an online meeting, which includes the Minister for Education, our local member Jordan Crugnale, the School Principal, the School Council and the Cowes community with a view to re-locating the proposed gym to another site within the school grounds.
