Nous, soussignés, amateurs de sport et supporters du basket-ball féminin, adressons cette pétition à la Fédération Française de Basketball (FFBB) afin qu'elle adopte des critères scientifiques clairs et équitables pour la participation aux championnats féminins professionnels.

Au cours de la saison 2025-2026 de Ligue Féminine 2, deux joueuses transgenres — Julie Tétart (Monaco BA) et Aurore Pautou (La Tronche-Meylan) — occupent les deux premières places des statistiques individuelles du championnat, avec des moyennes exceptionnelles de points et de rebonds qui révèlent un avantage physique significatif sur les autres joueuses.

Le contexte international est désormais clair :

• En mars 2026, le Comité International Olympique (CIO) a adopté une nouvelle politique excluant les athlètes transgenres (ayant le gène SRY) des catégories féminines olympiques, à partir des Jeux de Los Angeles 2028, au nom de l'équité, de la sécurité et de l'intégrité des compétitions féminines.
• Des fédérations internationales telles que World Athletics et World Aquatics ont déjà mis en place des restrictions strictes basées sur des critères physiologiques objectifs.
• La FIBA, en tant que fédération internationale de basket-ball, doit s'aligner sur ces nouvelles directives olympiques et protéger l'intégrité des compétitions féminines à tous les niveaux.
Nous demandons à la FFBB de :

• Adopter des lignes directrices fondées sur des critères physiologiques objectifs, en cohérence avec la nouvelle politique du CIO.
• Garantir l'équité sportive dans les compétitions féminines professionnelles.
• Engager un processus de révision réglementaire transparent et rapide.
Notre demande n'est pas motivée par la discrimination, mais par le respect des athlètes en compétition et par l'intégrité du sport féminin.

Women's Basketball LF2: Protecting Fairness in Women's Sport Against the Participation of Transgender Athletes

We, the undersigned, sports enthusiasts and supporters of women's basketball, address this petition to the Fédération Française de Basketball (FFBB), calling on it to adopt clear, science-based, and fair criteria for participation in professional women's competitions.

During the 2025-2026 Ligue Féminine 2 season, two transgender athletes — Julie Tétart (Monaco BA) and Aurore Pautou (La Tronche-Meylan) — currently hold the top two spots in individual statistics, posting exceptional averages in points and rebounds that highlight a significant physical advantage over other players.

The international context is now unambiguous:

• In March 2026, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) adopted a new policy excluding transgender athletes (carrying the SRY gene) from female Olympic categories, effective from the Los Angeles 2028 Games, in the name of fairness, safety and integrity in women's competition.
• International federations such as World Athletics and World Aquatics have already implemented strict restrictions based on objective physiological criteria.
• FIBA, as the international governing body of basketball, must align with these new Olympic guidelines and protect the integrity of women's competitions at all levels.
We call on the FFBB to:

• Adopt guidelines based on objective physiological criteria, consistent with the new IOC policy.
• Ensure sporting fairness in professional women's competitions.
• Initiate a transparent and timely regulatory review process.
Our request is not driven by discrimination, but by respect for competing athletes and the integrity of women's sport.

Noi sottoscritti, appassionati di sport e sostenitori della pallacanestro femminile, rivolgiamo questa petizione alla Fédération Française de Basketball (FFBB) affinché adotti criteri scientifici chiari ed equi per la partecipazione ai campionati femminili professionistici.

Nella stagione 2025-2026 della Ligue Féminine 2, due atlete transgender — Julie Tétart (Monaco BA) e Aurore Pautou (La Tronche-Meylan) — occupano i primi due posti nelle statistiche individuali del campionato, con medie eccezionali di punti e rimbalzi che evidenziano un vantaggio fisico significativo rispetto alle altre giocatrici.

Il contesto internazionale è ormai inequivocabile:

• Nel marzo 2026, il Comitato Olimpico Internazionale (CIO) ha adottato una nuova politica che esclude le atlete transgender (portatrici del gene SRY) dalle categorie femminili olimpiche, a partire dai Giochi di Los Angeles 2028, in nome dell'equità, della sicurezza e dell'integrità delle competizioni femminili.
• Federazioni internazionali come World Athletics e World Aquatics hanno già introdotto restrizioni rigorose basate su criteri fisiologici oggettivi.
• La FIBA, in quanto federazione internazionale di pallacanestro, deve allinearsi a queste nuove direttive olimpiche e proteggere l'integrità delle competizioni femminili a tutti i livelli.
Chiediamo alla FFBB di:

• Adottare linee guida basate su criteri fisiologici oggettivi, in coerenza con la nuova politica del CIO.
• Garantire la tutela dell'equità sportiva nelle competizioni femminili professionistiche.
• Avviare un processo di revisione regolamentare trasparente e tempestivo.
La nostra richiesta non è animata da discriminazione, ma dal rispetto per le atlete che competono e per l'integrità dello sport femminile.
