Just a quick reminder that there is a protest outside Hendon Town Hall, today (Tuesday)
In light of the recent chaos in Barnet council, and on the eve of a new wave of outsourcing despite the long catalogue of failures in the services already outsourced, we will take the opportunity of the council's Annual General Meeting to protest about the collapse of council services and the vanishing democracy in Barnet since the implementation of the One Barnet Programme of Privatisation - The Commissioning Council.
The following is a partial list:
The 5th May election chaos
The Libraries policy
Abbots Way depot scandal
The Housing policies and regeneration estates mishandling
Cuts to Social Care services including failure to retain social workers
The recent outrageous cancellation of Freedom passes to disabled adults
The treatment of small businesses
The failing Parking policy and the its effect on small businesses on our high streets
The breakdown of Capita's IT services to the libraries, parking and adult social services
Open spaces policies
Education - the irrational drive to academisation of Barnet schools
When: 6-7 pm, Tuesday 24 May 2016
Where: Outside Hendon Town Hall
