Dear Neighbours and Friends,
BARNET COUNCIL IS ABOUT TO TURN HENDON INTO A STUDENT CAMPUS.
WE WILL LOSE OUR HISTORIC LIBRARY AND MANY OF OUR COMMUNITY FACILITIES. HUGE NEW MULTI-STOREY BUILDINGS WILL BE CRAMMED INTO RESIDENTIAL AND HISTORIC AREAS.
We have ONE serious chance of getting these plans scaled down and ensure that residents continue to be an EQUAL partner with the university in Hendon.
Objecting to Planning Applications won't be enough; over 2000 people objected to both the recent Cricklewood and Sainsburys developments but they were STILL approved. We need more ammunition. And we have it in the form of a Judicial Review.
To find out more please join us THIS EVENING at NU NOSH, 87-89 Church Road NW4 4DP 6:30 pm
WE CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY.
Who are we? A group of extremely concerned Hendon residents with no political affiliation: a lawyer, a professor, an artist, a screenwriter, a finance director and a graphic designer.
