Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you have emailed councillors, written letters, made telephone calls, delivered leaflets and turned up to make our voices heard. You are all brilliant neighbours.
Of course we knew that this plan was likely to pass and in the end despite overwhelming opposition by residents, our MP and London Assembly Member, it was voted through 31/19. One Tory councillor informed a resident it was “political suicide” not to vote it through.
Special mention to our councillor NIZZA FLUSS who was the ONLY Tory to vote against.
So, ON WE GO. There is more to play for and we were prepared for this result....
so ...
We are delighted to report that following an extremely encouraging meeting with our legal team - which YOU facilitated in our first round of fundraising - we have decided to move to the next stage of our defence of Hendon.
In order to do that we need 100 people to pledge £15. This next stage is really time sensitive. We’re sorry to call on you but the clock is ticking.
If we can’t raise this amount in time, we can’t continue.
We have a new confidence in our challenge to Barnet Council’s disgraceful Hendon Hub regeneration plans.
If you’re able to help, please do so now.
Thank you so much!
