The CBE exams are a disgrace. The profession and it's regulators have failed us. BPTC students have had to prepare for exams during a pandemic, just to have their exams crashing half way in, constantly stopping and terminated for no good reasons. If they were able to finish a exam which in itself would be a miracle, how can an exam with enormous distractions be used to determine their competence and suitability to join the profession without injustices during such a traumatic time.

Many students have reported developing anxiety and facing numerous panic attacks. Every students mental health has been put at risk in a time where it was already so fragile. I personally suffer from extreme anxiety and depression and I can testify to the catastrophic effect the CBE exams have had on my mental wellbeing.

We have already been tested on 9 assessments by our providers, the Bar Standards Board need to waive the CBE exams and use our assessments to determine our final grades. We demand action now!
