Thank you so much for signing the petition. We would be very grateful if you could share again for us as we are desperate to stop the annihilation of greenspace across the UK.
One of our local campaigns in Leeds received bad news today. Nearly 40 mature trees will be felled on Monday before the landscape is levelled, covered in toxic rubber crumb and plastic and caged for pay to play football. This land is next to ancient woodland and the site itself is already designated for wildlife including use as a hedgehog release site. As you can see from the picture there is already a plastic grass sports pitch on the other side of the site!
It is a terrible gut wrenching feeling to know the destruction will start on Monday but we will continue to fight on for other greenspace under threat from plastic pitches in the UK.
So please share again and hopefully we will be able to get the UK government to act faster on these toxic polluting pitches.
