Last HOA I lived in they banned chemicals including glyphosate and switched to a less harmful "eco-friendly" weed killer. My family still opted out and instead we used white vinegar and some salt occasionally in the cracks of the brick driveways. Apparently, the HOA had a problem with flat non-protruding tiny green plant life growing in the cracks. Although we thought it was attractive it was just something for them to complain about and try to issue frivolous violations for. Anyway, the salt and vinegar in a sprayer worked very effectively. Its low cost and safe for human consumption. It worked on protruding weeds as well. Not sure why HOA developers use pavers or bricks in driveways. Unfortunate some HOA's saturate these driveways in toxic chemicals. Very sad and unnecessary in my opinion.
