Ban TikTok and Twitter for Their Detrimental Influence on Society

The Issue

As a concerned citizen, I am deeply troubled by the growing influence of social media platforms like Twitter  My concerns are one-fold.
Twitter has recently been taken over by Elon Musk, whose controversial actions and statements have often sparked widespread debate.

The platforms have become breeding grounds for misinformation and harmful content. According to a study conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2020, nearly 64% of Americans believe that fake news has caused "a great deal" of confusion about basic facts of current events.

Moreover, these platforms have an immense impact on our youth. Studies show that excessive use can lead to negative body image issues among teenagers (source: Journal of Adolescent Health). The addictive nature of these apps also contributes to increased screen time which can result in health problems such as obesity and sleep disorders (source: American Academy of Pediatrics).

In light of these concerns, we ask lawmakers under intense pressure to ban Twitter. This is not just about protecting our personal data or avoiding controversial figures; it's about safeguarding our society from the detrimental effects these platforms can cause.

YouTube, Pinterest, and Deviantart, I believe are much more effective than twitter and tiktok
