Ban Thundr.com to Protect Our Children (and Everyone else)

The Issue

When I was a minor, I was approached sexually and threatened by individuals on platforms like Omegle. I witnessed things that should not exist on the public internet, and now, a new site, Thundr (thundr.com), is perpetuating similar dangers. People close to me have also been affected, their lives altered forever by such sites, especially during their vulnerable years.

Despite past experiences, sites like Thundr continue to emerge, causing distress to countless individuals, particularly children and teenagers. These platforms create environments where predators can easily exploit minors, putting their safety and well-being at risk. It's alarming that Thundr is being advertised on massive platforms like YouTube, thus gaining legitimacy and accessibility.

In the past, platforms like Omegle created headlines for all the wrong reasons. Parents, educators, and concerned citizens are well aware of the dangers associated with such unmoderated and anonymous chat sites. The cycle must end with us taking a stand against these platforms that offer a free pass to inappropriate and potentially harmful interactions.

The goal of this petition is simple but vital: ban Thundr.com before it becomes another headline—a place where more youth can be preyed upon. We need legislative bodies and internet regulators to take immediate action, removing dangerous platforms and preventing them from being advertised freely, especially on platforms frequented by young individuals.

Children deserve a safe online environment where they can explore, learn, and connect without fear. Eliminating threats like Thundr will significantly reduce the risks our children face daily. Support this petition to ensure our online spaces remain safe for everyone, particularly the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community.

Join me in urging authorities to remove such threats from the digital landscape once and for all. Sign this petition to protect our children and send a clear message that these sites are unacceptable.
