As baseball fans, we cherish fair competition and the integrity of the game.

Recently, the introduction of the torpedo bat has given certain teams an unfair advantage. 

The New York Yankees’ recent use of the torpedo bat resulted in a team-record nine home runs in one game, with a combined distance of 3,695 feet, and 15 homers over the first three games—matching the most in MLB history.

This bat, with its unique design that shifts weight distribution and increases the sweet spot, has turned what should be a game of skill and strategy into one dominated by equipment. While the bat may be legal under current MLB rules, it gives players an unfair mechanical advantage and skews the balance of the game.

We urge Major League Baseball to ban the torpedo bat to keep the sport fair, competitive, and true to its roots. Baseball is about the players' skill, not the technology behind the bat.
