In an unfortunate event on 20th May 2023, we discovered a shelter run by a middle aged lady named Anu at Khera Khurd which happens to be a village on the outskirts of Bawana, North West Delhi. Discovering the illegal operations would never have surfaced if I did not decide for a surprise visit to this shelter for the custody of our admitted kids just a day before this episode. 

While visiting the shelter, we were taken aback by the horrific conditions we witnessed there . While this entire ordeal was going on, the offender owner locked herself inside the shelter with around 100's of ailing dogs , cats,  possibly birds with distemper and parvo stacked inside. There were swollen days old dead bodies of dogs in a perished state lying in a pool of animal excreta. The shelter had no active points of ventilation,  there were no lights no water and no sunlight for the ones stacked inside. 

From the area locals,  we got to know that the animals inside have not seen the sunlight in the past two years. The lady runs this alone without any formal medical education and active shelter registration with the help of local goons.

The shelter unit smelled horror and death in a drastic way that none wants to wish for their furry kids.

There were four inspectors on duty along with me  who were stranded for a span of 4.5 hours executing the operations for rescue our admitted furry kids. But there are many still stacked inside.

It is an appeal to sign this very petition to close this shelter facility asap and initiate rescue and relief operations of the 100's ailing furry friends inside.
