Members of my family served in those wars; they were just horrible. The Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) agreement has led to countless deaths and continues to pose a grave threat to humanity. This policy, which relies on the threat of total annihilation, is outdated and dangerous. We have too many loved ones on this planet to risk their lives under such a perilous doctrine. It's time for us to move towards more peaceful and rational strategies for global security.
