Fellow Australians, 

My name is Amelia Donnelly and I am a primary school teacher/wellbeing educator and author. I am passionate about the mental health and wellbeing of children and people and care deeply for our sacred environment. I also suffer from an auto-immune condition and I have become increasingly aware of known endocrine disruptors and the potent impact unregulated Roundup and glyphosate use is having on people's health, wellbeing and the environment. 

This petition calls for the Australian Government and EPA to follow the 33 other countries who have banned Roundup and glyphosate use in agriculture and domestic use. 

Currently, over 800 Australians are involved in a landmark class action run by Maurice Blackburn against Monsanto for claims they developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma from using or being exposed to Roundup or other Monsanto-branded herbicides products that contain glyphosate (Roundup Products) within Australia.   

I recently met a grandmother on the Mid North Coast of NSW whose granddaughter developed cancer from eating too many local blueberries (known for their heavy use of herbicides and pesticides). The ordeal that this family went through is enough to make anyone call for action and demand a ban to these toxic chemicals. 

It is time that people stand up and demand safe food, clean water and toxin-free environment so that all generations can enjoy this magical country and land. 

Please, lobby your local council and insist that they pull Roundup from use on playgrounds, schools etc. We must act now and we must act with great haste.
