     Porn is just AWFUL. Not only does it cause health and psychological problems, it also drives people into suicidal states. I was a former porn addict myself, and recovering felt like climbing out of hell on a wall of jagged rocks with my bare fingers. It is also readily available for no cost on the internet to ANYONE, which means that this content is being exposed to children. I myself was exposed to pornography when I was 10. 10!!! There are certainly people out there whose lives were ruined by porn and were exposed to it at even younger ages than 10. This is how the story goes:

       I was around 10 years old one day when I heard of Omegle (which was thankfully shut down in 2023), so I decided to go on the website. I didn't know what to expect, so it was basically a blind date. I went onto the website and did the video chat thing. Yes, I saw random dude's dicks amongst other things that were rather questionable. However, I was hooked onto pornography and eventually found out about the lady zone. I went on that website daily for about a month. Eventually, the guilt was too much to bear and I spilled my guts to my parents.

       I'm not much older than I was then, but I've seen fucked up things on a similar website. I saw half a second of illegal CP (not by choice), and I realized that porn needed to absolutely be stopped; even porn involving consenting adults, as it was the gateway to degeneracy, and thus creating mental problems and playing a large factor in the development of pedophiles and rapists. I found multiple INCEST VIDEOS (which are highly illegal) on a website that you can literally go to. Not a darknet site, not an onion site, just some random .com porn site you could google. I searched up "US porn ban" because of the rumors that republicans in congress are trying to ban it. Under the videos tab, I saw the title, "banned incest porno." What the actual fuck.

       Not only does porn affect the people watching, it also takes advantage of the people who are involved in these videos. Many porn stars have committed suicide in this industry. According to this list, there are about 123 confirmed cases of porn stars committing suicide (out of 1,786 entries), probably even more because this is just one of many websites. Also, porn industries are very stingy on how they pay their stars. Pornhub pays 75 cents per thousand views at most, and if you do the math, you earn ¾ of a thousand bucks when you get a million views. Even YouTube, one of the most greedy companies ever, pays their users about 1,000 buckaroonies per million views.

     While people (might) live their lives with P.I.E.D, an addiction, low self-esteem, perverse habits, or might even kill themselves, not to mention the mistreatment of people in the industry, there are people out there profiting all of this. Fat cats making people have sex in front of a camera for their own benefit. They WANT you to be addicted, and if we ban pornography, we can form an America with better health, better mindsets, and potentially a lower rate of sex crimes.
