Greetings fellow petitioners.
As we are getting closer to "due date" of the Eurovision Song Contest and as protests around the world to STOP Israel from killing civilians in Gaza and the West Bank gets LOUDER every day, we are still stuck with the EBU´s decision to let them compete in this years edition of the ESC in Malmö.
Today in the public service owned news outlet SVT Nyheter, there was an article about the heightened risk for attacks during the Eurovision week, the article states the risk for "Islamic terror" due to the liberal and HBTQ friendly festival approach...NOWHERE in the article is it mentioned that the level is heightened due to Israels participation!!

Isn´t that peculiar, that public service news outlets seems to have completely missed the protests and petitions and letters and e-mails and socialmedia outrage concerning Israels participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2024!!
Very concerning to do so by SVT, and do so while have been appointed the mission to have and provide unbiased reports on current events in (at least as far as I know) a democratic country such as Sweden.
Well well....
I got a mail from a petition signer in Australia (G'day) Catherine.
She had a great standpoint that I really would like to get out to anyone who is going to be in the arena watching ESC! She said, and i quote:
wouldn't it be amazing if the audience, rather than booing, turned their backs on the performance and then stayed completely silent when they finish? Almost acting as if they did not exist. It would be very effective to send a message.
I find this to be a brilliant idea, and very much more powerful than booing or making noise. Turn your back on Israel and everything they stand for, turn your back on this rouge state, turn your back on the worst war criminal in modern times!
So spread this suggestion to as many as possible.
Make the world know, we do not accept to have Israel dancing and singing as if nothing happened, we do not want to participate in the charade to make Israel appear as "normal" while committing heinous crimes against humanity!
We do not accept Israels GENOCIDE on Palestinians!!
