Ban Insider Trading for Politicians

The Issue

It’s time to ban insider trading for Politicians.

We're sick of politicians getting filthy rich insider trading while in office.

They are supposed to serve the public, not use their power to grow their stock portfolios.

This has to stop.

While hardworking Americans struggle to pay their bills, members of Congress are lining their pockets with insider information.

If me or you did this then we would be in prison. But when they do it, it's “legal.”

Members of Congress should work for the people, not for their own bank accounts.

It's a CLEAR conflict of interest for lawmakers (with access to non-public info) to profit from the companies they are supposed to be regulating.

Instead of protecting us, they’re profiting off us.

They should not be able to profit from the inside information they get on the job. Their job should be serving the people who elected them.

We deserve better.
We deserve representatives who serve the people, not their portfolios.
We deserve leaders who put country over profit.

The solution is simple: Make it illegal.

It’s time to ban insider trading in Congress.
