Ban homework

Ban homework
The Issue
As a mentally damaged child, I feel strongly about the need to ban homework for students. Here’s why:
Firstly, after spending 6-7 hours in school, students need time to relax and engage in extracurricular activities, which are essential for their personal growth and skill development. Homework consumes much of their free time, leaving them with little opportunity to socialize, participate in sports, or engage in hobbies. It's important that we let kids be kids and experience the joy of life outside classroom walls. From my own experience, i had to quit the school play because i didn’t have enough time for homework.
Moreover, the extended hours dedicated to homework add to the already lengthy academic commitments, making learning feel like a burden rather than a curiosity-driven endeavor. Imagine having to commit to something you hate for 7 hours inside school and then spending another 3 hours on homework at home!
Increased homework loads also contribute to mental stress and anxiety among students. The constant pressure to complete assignments and the fear of not meeting expectations can have detrimental effects on a child's mental well-being.
Many children stay up late to finish their homework, only to wake up early for school the next day. This sleep deprivation harms their ability to focus, retain information, and function optimally throughout the school day.
The time has come to reconsider the necessity of homework and realize that its drawbacks far outweigh its intended benefits. We need a balanced approach that puts children's development and happiness at the forefront.
Join me in urging educational authorities to rethink and ban the practice of assigning overwhelming homework. Let's prioritize our children's welfare and allow them to cherish their childhood. Please sign this petition to make a change for a brighter, stress-free future for students.
