From personal experience and extensive research, it has become clear that entities such as GoGuardian pose a significant threat to our privacy and safety. As a student in Martan, I find it alarming that software like this continues to operate. GoGuardian is a tool often used in schools to monitor student activity online. While it is marketed as a tool to ensure student safety, the breadth and depth of the information it collects raises significant concerns about student privacy.

A report by the National Education Policy Center (2019) indicates that many school surveillance tools do not have sufficient privacy protections in place. Consequently, the data they collect can easily fall into the wrong hands, leading to potential misuse. While I acknowledge that such tools serve to protect us online, I firmly believe that there needs to be a substantial reevaluation of the method and extent to which our private information is being accessed.

This is why I urge the authorities to ban the use of GoGuardian in our schools. It's time we prioritize the safety and privacy of students without compromising their educational experience.
