GoGuardian is a tool teachers use to keep students on task. Most can agree that GoGuardian has made a big impact on school. Privacy is very important especially when it comes to personal information. GoGuardian makes it hard to keep passwords and private conversations to ourselves since teachers can see everything, and yes, EVERYTHING on our computers. It’s like someone watching everything you do. Even though the point is to restrict people from doing certain things, there are other ways to work around that. GoGuardian is able to access our personal computers like Macbooks which shouldn't be allowed. GoGuardian can also track the location of your chromebook which is a clear breach of the law.

As far as work arounds, they can block websites or even focus more on paper lessons/activities. If anyone decides to fool around on their Chromebook and doesn’t do their work, that’s on them. I don’t think that just because a Chromebook can have such an impact when it comes to learning, they can add GoGuardian which some people call, “spyware”.

I’m not saying I dislike GoGuardian, I’m just saying that there are much better solutions to help students stay on task. This isn't a guarantee GoGuardian will be banned if we get to the signature goal. If this doesn't work, it's not the end of the world but will be frustrating.
