Glue traps for catching rats are extremely cruel. The trapped animal struggles helplessly, sometimes for days, before finally dying of thirst.

These glue traps are freely available in the market, including online sellers, in spite of being banned in several states of India.

Shockingly, glue traps for catching rodents are being illegally used in the Indian Railways, even though they are banned in several states.

I request the hon'ble minister of Fisheries, Animal husbandry and Dairying, Shri Parshottam Rupala ( email id: rupalaoffice@gmail.com ) to take the following steps:

1. Ban the sale, production and use of glue traps for catching rodents throughout India
2. Direct the Indian Railways to stop the use of glue traps for catching rats immediately
3. Take strict action against online retailers, who are willing to illegally deliver these traps even to addresses in states which have banned their use.
