I am deeply concerned about the prevalence of genetically modified (GMO) foods in our country. As a citizen who values health and wellness, it is disheartening to see that we are being exposed to potential risks associated with GMOs. Studies have suggested a link between GMO consumption and an increased risk of cancer (Source: Journal of Organic Systems). This is personal for me, as I believe that these foods might be contributing to the rising rates of cancer.

Moreover, it's unfair that we have to pay more for organic food - food that is free from such modifications. The cost difference can be substantial, making it difficult for many families to afford healthier options. According to Consumer Reports, organic foods are 47% more expensive on average than their non-organic counterparts.

We should not have to choose between our health and our budget. It's time we demand change from those who regulate our food supply. Let's call on the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ban GMO foods in the United States so everyone can afford safe and healthy meals.
