Ban fireworks in the New Forest

Ban fireworks in the New Forest
The Issue
The New Forest is one of the UK's most cherished natural landscapes, known for its free roaming ponies, providing a sanctuary for a diverse array of wildlife, including several endangered species. However, the use of fireworks poses a significant threat to animals and this fragile ecosystem, especially the commoners’ livestock on the forest as well as in private fields. Fireworks create loud noises and bright lights that can terrify animals, leading to distress, disorientation, and sometimes even fatal outcomes.
It's time for us to act decisively to protect this precious natural environment. We urge local authorities to implement a ban on the use of fireworks within the New Forest. This would include regulating public displays and private use, on or near to Crown Land.
