Every Sunday millions of Catholics hear music in mass that is not proper to the Roman rite nor assists in lifting their minds and hearts to God. Sacred music elevates worship, engaging the whole person - mind, body, and soul. Bad music either is neutral or degraded to worship, providing no benefit.
