Large volumes of waste and greenhouse gas emissions result from the production, distribution, and disposal of plastic water bottles. With water bottle refilling stations and fountains throughout SFU campuses as sustainable alternatives, plastic water bottles create unnecessary waste within the SFU community and surrounding ecosystems. Banning bottled water at SFU would help SFU to achieve its 20-Year Sustainability Vision and Goals and secure its reputation as a sustainability leader. Help us tell SFU to ban bottled water on campus!
