It's official, John Horgan will soon be our new Premier. Experts predict a cabinet will likely be put in place in just a couple of weeks. Lana Popham supports banning battery cages and could be Horgan’s choice for Minister of Agriculture. We need to do everything we can to make sure Popham receives the Ag. Ministry! Here’s three steps I need you to take to send the message to Horgan: 1. Email John Horgan at oppositionleader@leg.bc.ca AND ndp@leg.bc.ca using your own email or the following draft: “Dear Mr. Horgan, I am writing to you today to ask that you appoint Lana Popham as your Minister of Agriculture upon forming government. Mrs. Popham has served as your Party’s critic for Agriculture for years. She’s been your party’s most prominent voice on agriculture and has travelled across the province in this regard. Mrs. Popham has worked tirelessly for farmers, food producers, agricultural associations, food advocacy groups and many more. With your new position as Premier, it’s time for you to give her the Agriculture Ministry so she can continue her outstanding work for agriculture in British Columbia. Thank you for hearing my concerns, [YOUR FULL NAME] [YOUR CITY]” Please take these three extraordinary actions, they will truly make a difference to Lana Popham’s chances to become Minister.
