The rapid deployment of Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs)—such as Flock Safety cameras—across our public intersections has quietly turned our neighborhood streets into dragnet surveillance zones.

    When a private company can log the movements of millions of citizens, compile data on where we live, work, shop, and worship, and store that information in cloud databases, it doesn't just cross a line—it erases it.

     Mass surveillance treats every citizen as a suspect. It operates without a warrant, strips us of our reasonable expectation of privacy, and leaves our personal travel histories vulnerable to corporate monetization and data breaches.

    We, the citizens of Nevada, call upon our state legislators to act decisively in the upcoming legislative session to:
Enact a Statewide Ban: Prohibit law enforcement agencies and government entities from acquiring, deploying, or utilizing ALPR technology on public property.

    Mandate Data Deletion: Require the immediate destruction of all existing public ALPR historical databases and travel logs.

    Protect Constitutional Rights: Require a specific, individualized judicial warrant based on probable cause before any localized vehicle-tracking technology can be deployed for a specific criminal investigation.
