I am someone completely against A.I. I know a lot people find A.I extremely helpful with schoolwork, marketing etc. and I won’t disagree with you, A.I can be useful, but that won’t excuse the effect on job opportunities and impact to environment. 

We all imagine a future where A.I robots do our jobs. Is it such a good thing though? Some jobs require skills that need real human thought and creativity, which A.I simply cannot recreate. Human creativity has been around with for centuries, the creativity humans produce is like no other, the creativity cannot be recreated with writing prompts into ChatGPT to create A.I generated slop. In my point of view, by 2030 human created art will be extinct and human creativity and soul will be wiped by A.I ‘art’. We are already seeing A.I generated advertisements on tv, taking more and more job opportunities. If A.I takes all our jobs, who will get the money? Not us.

A.I uses significant energy consumption and wastes water. For every prompt you ask ChatGPT you waste 0.34 watt hours and 500 millilitres of water.  We are using 1/4 of our of  water we should be drinking every day per prompt, we should use it for better.  The high energy consumption also contributes to climate change and greenhouse gas emissions with the fossil fuels used.

There are way more reasons we should ban AI, These are just the most important ones. This law should be passed for a better future and a more human society.
