I am nine years old and I have always loved and cared for animals deeply. I hate seeing animals suffer. I believe it's time to stop hunting animals in the UK. Hunting causes animals tremendous pain, stress, and suffering—especially when hunters bring dogs with them. Every year, millions of mammals and birds are hunted, which puts many species at risk of going extinct.

Some people hunt as a sport or just for fun, killing game birds and small mammals like geese, ducks, partridge, grouse, foxes, rabbits, hares, and deer. Larger mammals, like rhinos, big cats, and elephants, are hunted for their skin and tusks.

Although hunting with dogs is banned, "trail hunting" is still allowed. In trail hunting, dogs follow pre-laid scent trails, but sometimes, they are used to actually hunt and kill the animals. This is cruel and results in a slow, painful death. In some cases, dogs even dig the animals out of their burrows, destroying their homes in the process. If the animal manages to escape, it might die shortly after from untreated wounds, exhaustion, or shock.
