I have spent the last 40 years of my life devoted to the love, care, and rescue of animals. Having adopted countless animals from rescue centres, each of them has ingrained in me a deep understanding and empathy for our fellow creatures.

However, in stark contrast to the loving environment we strive to provide them, a significant number of animals are today subjected to rigorous and often cruel tests in the name of scientific advancement. It is our responsibility to end this cruelty and work towards alternatives that do not cause harm to any sentient beings.

According to Humane Society International, nearly 100 million animals are used for experimentation worldwide, counting only those used in experiments while disregarding testing, and teaching (1). These include mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds. This demonstrates a massive scale of animal suffering that we absolutely need to address.

By signing this petition, you are not only aligning yourself with the compassionate choice, you are also urging for the fund allocation in research towards cruelty-free and scientifically proven alternatives like in-vitro cells and tissues, computer modelling, and human-based studies.

Replace the harsh and archaic methods of animal testing with ethical, efficient, and effective scientific methods. It's time to ban all animal experimentation nationwide.
