Ban AI-generated "books" from Amazon's Kindle unlimited now! There is no space for AI!

The Issue

As a child, I dreamed of a reality where I could write and share my books with romance and sci-fi fanatics. When I grew up, I decided to take publishing seriously and was met with a horrible AI infestation in the Amazon marketplace.

Since the launch of AI, there has been a wave of AI-generated books. Thousands of accounts have published 100s of books in just one year. Amazon has limited the number of books you can publish to 3 a day, which is ridiculous and not that helpful at all. It is a step in the right direction, but 3 books every day for 365 days is still too much.  It would be extremely shocking if one person could publish 7 full-length novels in a year or 10 novellas in one year. Yet there are 100s of accounts that have generated 100s of books in 2026 alone.

Amazon should take down the accounts of these "authors" with 1000s of books. This billion-dollar corporation should back up its human authors.

People are paying to have access to unlimited books. Not unlimited generations. Visibility is so poor that authors are quitting. Every day I come online, and someone else is quitting. Someone else has given up. I've deeply contemplated quitting more than once, and I've decided I will not let talentless AI promptors steal my dream.

We are tired of being choked out by AI-generated books. Readers are tired of sifting through slop before they can find a good book.

This is not just my issue. This is everyone's issue.

There is an account thats published over 36 books in 2026. How is that fair to authors?  Books don't get written in one afternoon. Books don't get written in one day. It takes months, years, and even decades. They are content farms. Amazon should not be allowing this.

Amazon should stop people from creating/ monitizing book farms. They need to clean up the book farms that already exist on the platform. Some of these farms are alleged to have purchased fake reviews to boost themselves in the Amazon market. This would be an account violation, yet they aren't being banned.

There are 100s of AI-generated accounts on Amazon. It's not as if it's a secret. 50 books in 2025, 100 books in 2022, 40 books in 2026.  These books are destroying the market.  Authors don't want them. Readers don't want them.  This phenomenon is creating a poor customer experience, which is against your content guidelines.

Amazon, fix this.

  1. Ban/delete all AI-generated book farm accounts that already exist on your platform, and prevent this from happening again. That's it.  That's all we want for now. You're already paying us pennies on the dollar. At least clean up the market so authors can actually make sales.

We want these AI book farms gone off Amazon by January 1st, 2027
