Petition updateBan 1080 Poison Baiting Death for Australian WildlifePOISON 1080 AERIAL BAITING IN VICTORIA TARGETING PROTECTED SPECIES
Association For Conservation Of Australian Dingoes IncorporatedCastlemaine, Australia
Oct 28, 2019

The proposed renewal of poison 1080 to be dropped by helicopter into an enlarged area of Victoria, will be a massive intrusion of toxic poisons into regional Victoria, and there is no  doubt thousands of protected dingoes and native wildlife will die a horrible death.

Dingoes are protected under the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act, and Spot tailed Quoll shall be affected directly and indirectly.

There has been a great deal of misrepresentation about poison 1080. Compound 1080 used in poison baits is NOT produced from a plant,  nor do Native wildlife have a natural resistance to it. Our earlier update set out the Truth about 1080 and where it comes from, it is a synthetic white powder imported from a number of countries that make it, including China, New Zealand and America. Compound 1080 is not made from a plant.

Thank you to Michelle J Photography for permission to use this wonderful photo of a wild Dingo in Kosciousko. A lucky one.
