As a resident of Canada I fell victim to egregious personal harassment when I tried to draw attention to a Youtuber, ☂ゲーマーウルフメイシー☂, and their racially offensive content. I was berated and humiliated; this incident left me feeling unsafe in what should otherwise be a platform fostering creativity, inclusiveness, and learning. Unfortunately, my story is not uncommon. YouTube, despite its policies against such behavior, has become a breeding ground for such hate-filled individuals and groups. A study by the Pew Research Center in 2020 showed that 64% of young users faced harassment on online platforms including YouTube.

What stroke me was the audacity of ☂ゲーマーウルフメイシ-☂ to attack anyone who questions or contradicts them, suggesting a belief that they are invulnerable. Such arrogance and derogatory behavior are toxic to YouTube's community, and by not taking meaningful action, YouTube indirectly condones this harm.

Therefore, we demand that this individual be removed from the platform, aligning its action with its policy to "prevent behavior that threatens someone’s feeling of safety," as articulated by YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. This is an earnest plea for YouTube to genuinely engage in its commitment to creating a safe space for all its users. Stand with us to endorse the safety of online platforms, and build a community that is truly based on mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance.
