Growing up in Baltimore County, we’ve always loved sports—but while boys have well-supported football programs, girls in our county don’t have the same opportunities. Nearby counties, including Baltimore City, already offer girls’ flag football, so it feels unfair that we’re being left behind.

We are a group of girls in Baltimore County who want to start a girls’ flag football program in our schools. The Baltimore Ravens are already working to expand girls’ flag football statewide by fall 2026, and we want to bring that momentum to our county. The sport builds confidence, teamwork, and leadership—and every girl deserves the chance to play and compete.
