Badger Farm's student and car population is set to grow even more.....

An increasing number of properties across Badger Farm have been converted to HMO's, (Houses of Multiple Occupation).  Many of these will be rented by students. However, landlords have a free for all as the City Council has not controlled HMO numbers in Badger Farm.

Many students who live in Badger Farm also drive cars.  The homes, roads and parking in Badger Farm were not designed for multiple occupancy nor multiple cars.

Local campaigner, David Killeen BEM said, "A similar issue caused a problem for residents in Stanmore in 2015 and Winnall in 2018.  The Conservatives running the City Council at that time issued an Article 4 Direction in those areas. Article 4 Directions require landlords to apply for full planning permission before converting a family home to an HMO."

I am asking the Liberal City Council Cabinet to do the same for Badger Farm as the Conservatives did for Stanmore and Winnall.

Please sign my petition to ask Winchester City Council to protect family homes in our area and apply for an Article 4 control throughout Badger Farm.
