The long awaited press release is finally out. While it is not quite as damaging as initially painted, it still serves to bolster Azuras inaccurate claims with no verifiable evidence. Yet, she aims to use the existance of this article to legitimise her spurious claims. Most of her sources are her own material, retroactive or offline claims, or are completely unrelated. We must remain comitted to upholding the accurate representation of minority religions and spiritual paths. Thats why, in addition to signing ths petition, we are asking you to write to BillboardWire. Please feel free to use the template below as a base for your letter. You can edit it, add to it, remove parts, or write a letter entirely of your own. The key is to outline why the article is not accurate. Your emails can and should be sent to remove@billboardwire.com & contact@billboardwire.com

Please subject your emails as "Azura Dragonfaether does not speak for the dragon community"

Dear Editorial Team,

I am writing to raise serious concerns regarding the article published on your website titled "How Azura DragonFaether Became The Online Catalyst For The Dragon Community" Having reviewed BillboardWire’s editorial policy, particularly your stated commitments to accuracy, responsible reporting, and the use of verifiable sources, I am concerned that this article does not uphold those standards.

Although BillboardWire is a digital music news platform, this article positions itself at the centre of an active global religious and spiritual discourse within pagan and witchcraft communities—particularly among Wiccans. The subject of your article, Azura Dragonfaether, has repeatedly claimed to be the founder of multiple modern spiritual practices and religious paths, despite extensive, verifiable evidence to the contrary.

On her Patreon platform, she has published a piece titled "How Azura DragonFaether Founded Modern Dragon Magic — The Draconic Priestess’ Official Historical Timeline and Origin Record (With Sources)" The 'sources' she cites are overwhelmingly self-referential, retroactive, or unrelated to the global communities she claims to have founded. A few seconds of footage in a BBC online documentary and a brief appearance in an Anthony Padilla YouTube video do not constitute credible evidence of religious or spiritual authorship, nor do they substantiate the sweeping historical claims she makes.

As a direct result of these claims, Azura Dragonfaether has become a focal point of intense debate within modern paganism and certain branches of witchcraft. Her assertions are so widely disputed that a petition—signed by hundreds of practitioners—states unequivocally:

We do not accept Azura Dragonfaether as the founder of any Dragon or Draconic spirituality, religion, or practice. This includes but is not limited to Draconic Wicca, Dragon Magick, Draconianism, Dragon Alchemy, The Draconic Path, and Dragon Academia.
The petition includes numerous community testimonies, screenshots, and other forms of evidence that directly contradict claims presented in your article. In addition to the signatures, seventeen detailed supporter statements outline specific inaccuracies and misrepresentations.

It is also important to note that Azura Dragonfaether is no longer a pagan practitioner, having publicly converted to an Abrahamic faith. Despite this, she has been actively positioning herself as the authoritative voice on the history and origins of dragon-based pagan practices. For several months, she has teased forthcoming press coverage—apparently including your article—as a means of “verifying” her historical narrative. This behaviour has already caused significant concern within pagan and witchcraft communities, who fear that their history, traditions, and collective memory are being overwritten by a single individual’s unsubstantiated claims.

This issue extends far beyond one person. It concerns the integrity of a global spiritual movement and the accurate representation of minority religious communities. Where substantial disputes exist, BillboardWire has a journalistic responsibility to present both sides of the discourse, especially when reporting on a topic outside your usual area of expertise. Failing to do so risks amplifying misinformation and contributing to the erasure of established community histories.

Given the seriousness of these concerns, I respectfully request that BillboardWire:

Review the article in light of your editorial policy
Reassess the credibility of the claims presented
Consider issuing corrections, clarifications, or an editorial note
Engage with established members of the pagan and witchcraft communities (beyond Azuras own community 'Hatchling Clan') to ensure balanced representation
I trust that BillboardWire values accuracy, integrity, and responsible reporting. I hope you will take these concerns seriously and act promptly to address them.

Yours sincerely,
