Australians Demand Repeal of Unfair Budget Measures and Real Political Accountability

Australians Demand Repeal of Unfair Budget Measures and Real Political Accountability

The issue

To the Australian Government and Federal Parliament,

We, the undersigned Australians, call for the immediate repeal and review of recent budget laws, taxation increases, and economic policies that are driving down living standards and placing unsustainable pressure on working Australians.

Australians are working harder than ever while facing rising taxes, inflation, housing costs, energy prices, insurance premiums, and increasing financial pressure caused by years of government mismanagement and irresponsible spending.

At the same time, younger Australians are being locked out of housing ownership and long-term financial security while older generations continue to benefit from grandfathering arrangements and protections unavailable to future generations.

Australians are increasingly concerned that:

  • Taxes continue to rise while government debt and spending spiral out of control;
  • Working Australians are expected to absorb the consequences of poor economic management;
  • Younger generations are being denied the same opportunities previous generations enjoyed;
  • Policies continue protecting established wealth while making it harder for ordinary Australians to build a future;
  • Australians are seeing increasing discussion around future taxes on inheritance, estates, superannuation, and family assets.

Many Australians now feel they are taxed at every stage of life:

  • when earning income,
  • when purchasing property,
  • through inflation and hidden costs,
  • and potentially even when passing assets to their children.

Australians are also losing confidence in the integrity of political leadership and decision-making.

We therefore call for immediate reforms that prohibit all Federal politicians, senior ministers, and key government decision-makers from buying, selling, or personally profiting from residential property investments during their time in office.

Australians deserve confidence that:

  • housing policy is being made in the national interest,
  • politicians are not benefiting from insider influence or conflicts of interest,
  • and elected officials fully understand the pressures facing ordinary Australians struggling with affordability.

Public office should be a position of service — not an opportunity for personal financial gain while everyday Australians are priced out of the market.

We call on the Government to:

  • Repeal harmful budget measures and excessive tax increases;
  • Restore responsible fiscal management and reduce wasteful spending;
  • End policies that unfairly disadvantage younger Australians;
  • Reject any future broad inheritance or “death tax” style measures;
  • Introduce strict conflict-of-interest laws regarding property ownership and investment activities by politicians while in office;
  • Deliver genuine cost-of-living relief and economic reform for everyday Australians.

Australians are losing faith in the current direction of the country. If these concerns continue to be ignored, citizens will continue to pursue every lawful and democratic avenue available to demand accountability from elected representatives and constitutional officeholders within Australia’s democratic system.

Australia belongs to its people — not political insiders, vested interests, or policies that sacrifice future generations.

Sign this petition if you believe Australians deserve fair opportunity, accountable leadership, lower financial pressure, and a government that serves the people first.
