I have been overwhelmed by the amount of comments from survivor's, and those still experience domestic violence. I've been interviewed by the herald sun and they feel the same way, completely shocked and upset that this outdated law still applies. There are way too MANY people scared to leave, they don't feel supported. They feel trapped. This isn't living, its a prison sentence, but for the one who least deserves it. I truly feel this is going to make a difference, it might not help me in the time frame I would like, but if it helps someone else in the future than that is worth all the effort.
