It’s been nearly 2 years now since I started this petition. I had to take a step back, as everything going on in my life made this super overwhelming. I waited the 12months to be able to apply for divorce and then a further 2 months for it to be approved. It’s just far too long. In that time the countless threats I received from my ex were overwhelming. Enough to make anyone cave and want to just go back as it seems easier. I had too many scars to let that happen though! 

Now that I have my life back together and recovered, somewhat, from what happened to me, I have the strength to continue. I want to see this changed. It needs to be changed.
